1966 JAGUAR XKE E TYPE SERIES 1, OTS WITH BOTH TOPS WITH 38,560 ORIGINAL MILES This car is a frame-off, nut and bolt restoration, all matching numbers; see pictures. The car was originally built in Coventry, England, in November 1965, shipped in December 1965 and registered to its first owner on February 11, 1966 in Pensacola, Florida. I bought the car eight and a half years ago from a gentleman in Chicago who had owned it since 1988 and performed a 17-year step-by-step rotisserie renovation. No detail nor expense was overlooked, and I have hundreds (literally) of invoices and bills describing in details what was done to the car from 1989 to 2008, when I purchased it. As per the attached photos, this car is absolutely pristine, on the inside, on the outside and within the engine bay. As my mechanic Barry (of Independent Rolls Royce & Bentley, on La Cienega) would say: "You could eat off the engine block, although I do not recommend it." Since I purchased the car, I have always had it serviced by Barry and have all invoices to prove it. More photos are available on request. The car comes with its Heritage Certificate documenting as a "number matching" car, i.e. one in which engine block, body and chassis have been together and the same since day one. I am moving to Oregon early November and am therefore selling my classic cars.
