Description of 1976 Jaguar XJ Leather |
JAGUAR XJ12C, 37,000 Miles, CALIFORNIA CAR LHD Offered for sale is this exceptional Jaguar Series 2 XJ12C 1976 a genuine California car. The car shows only 37,000 miles and comes with supporting documentation and history. This Beautiful XJC is totally rust free and is still fitted with its V12 Jaguar engine. The car was last on the road in 2003. Since then the last owner has cared for the car and carried out various modifications, such as better cooling fans and new fuel lines. The A/C has been removed but all the parts are present so Re-installation would not be difficult. Since acquiring the vehicle we have fitted a new power Steering Pump, New Steering rack. We have checked the fuel system and fitted new 205/70x15 tires. Withe its powerful V12 the car is a dream to drive. The bodywork is very straight and rust free, in-fact its as good as a XJC gets. anyone who has restored one of these would know that the metalwork alone can add up to tens of thousands, only to end up with a car made up of substandard remanufactured panels. You cant get better than car that retains all the original panels. The car is currently fitted with a Daimler grille, however it does still have the original Jaguar grille. Still in its original color Regency Red and what appears to be original paint. There are a few small parking dents around the car but mainly on the drivers door and a small crease about 12" long on the rear RH fender. The interior is ordinal in exceptional shape, the carpets are original and look like new. When you lift the carpets up the floors are like new with no signs of rust. If you are looking for one of these rare Jaguar models, I doubt you will find a more genuine unmolested car. Cars of this era are becoming very difficult to find and therefore present a unique opportunity to acquire a piece of history.
