Description of 1986 Jaguar XJ6

A beautiful, white, classic Jaguar XJ6. I'm not a car guy, so I don't know why it isn't running, so it could be a minor fix; someone told me it might be something wrong with the alternator. I haven't had anyone come look at it, as I don't have the funds or time currently, with my schoolwork I'm doing. Everything looks perfectly fine, except for a bit of rust in a few spots. Even though it's my dream car, I have to sell it because I don't have the time or money to fix it. I was told by the previous owner that it's been sitting for 1+ years.
