Description of 1971 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 |
For sale is a very rusty 1971 Jaguar E type Coupe, factory V12, 4 speed, with air conditioning, power steering and wire wheels. Please read the whole ad and watch the videos before you bid The car was "restored" in the late 80's/early 90's, which involved removing the original 5.4l V12 and manual transmission and swapping it with a chevy 350 and turbo 350 trans, and was repainted red over the original 'Old English White'. The car retains its original knockoff wire wheels, along with a spare. It starts, runs and drives via the temporary gas tank mounted on the hood, NO BRAKES, this would be a great movie stunt car or parts car, it could be restored but it needs A LOT of sheetmetal, front floorpans, firewall, transmission tunnel and trunk floor probably need to be replaced. Basically every panel on the exterior needs patchwork, but the roof is nice and the car looks like it has never been wrecked. The entire suspension system, brake system and most of the interior is complete, the power steering works, all the glass and trim is in good shape, all lights and gauges work (even the clock!)Note, since the majority of these photos were taken it has received a minor dent 3" in diameter on the nose above the grille from a trailer hitch I have the keys and registration from the previous owner (hasn't been on the road since 2004) If you are seriously interested contact me, the car could be worth 20k or more in parts, so no I'm not taking 5 grand for it, if you would like additional pictures and are serious send me a message and we can talkThis is an as is, where is auction, I have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of the auction end, car will be released after remaining balance is paid in cash or after cashiers check clearsThanks, Tim Videos taken 4/14/19Running/walk around video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxQtMkJd2TIDriving video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d67IgC40g5YUndercarriage video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gS3HZxSCcfA |
