Description of 1980 Jeep Other

Please read before you ask questions:

I've owned this Jeep for over two years now. I bought it as a secondary, ecreational vehicle and drive it on most weekends when it's not raining. It was garaged by the previous owner, ho had driven it up from Florida, nd has been garaged since I've owned it. I don't know a lot about it's history - the owner before me told me that the lady that he purchased the Jeep from had used it to go back and forth to her horse farm and that she was heartbroken to see it go. The engine and transmission had both been rebuilt at some point - I believe it has the original Iron Duke 4-cyl 151 with the 4-speed manual transmission. I have not had a moment of problem with either - runs beautifully, tarts every time and the transmission is smooth. I was told that the transfer case is original and was rebuilt as well, hough I've never used it - it hasn't been off-road in my possession.

The body had been redone at some point - looks like an older restoration. The paint is in pretty good shape - great color- there are a few chips here and there, ostly around the door opening where you get in and out. Only a ding or two here and there and a small bubbled area forward of the passenger door (see photos). The interior was sprayed with bedliner material at the time of its reconditioning and it looks like it's been there for a while -a bit worn. The floors are solid with no soft spots that I've found or noticed. The only breach to the body that I could find is at the base of the rollbar behind the rear seat on the passenger side, ut the area is solid and not soft, hich makes me believe that someone just didn't patch it up. The frame is solid and the underside was undercoated probably at the same time the paint and bedliner was done - the undercoating also looks a bit worn, ut it has and continues to do its job. There is no rust evidentto the frameand no areas of rust to the body, esidesthose few small bubbles.

Some gauges on the dash have not worked and I didn't make an attempt to fix them - theimportant ones work. The gas gauge is fairly accurate, he speedometer works and there's an aftermarket temperature gauge that works. The odometer is operational - it reads 18686 right now as I write this, ut I don't know if the odometer was reset at any point. Wipers, ll lights and the aftermarket radio with speakers works. The heater is all there, ut I haven't tried to fix it.

I've basically just maintained it since I've owned it. Regular maintenance, eplaced the fan clutch, il pan seal was professionally done, alve cover gasket, ad a new exhaust put on by a local shop (it had a cherry bomb exhaustwhen I first got it which sounded terrible), ew shocks all around, ewBestop bikini top, ollbar covering and tire cover. It could use a new windshield. She's been very low maintenance.

This is a great running, riving and looking older Jeep. It is not in perfect shape and is not fit for a museum. Like all others, t has its imperfections - please do not expect a new or restored to original vehicle.

I've enjoyed this Jeep immensely and am torn on selling it, ut it's time to find the nexttoy. I've driven this thing on the highway at 65 on hour long trips with no problem. It deserves another goodhome and another owner who will continue her journey.Drives like an old Jeep should - not like a new one.

Vehicle has a clear Georgia title. Please e-mail or message with any questions. If you'd like to see other photos or video, 'd be happy to oblige.
