Up for sale is my 1983 Jeep CJ7----I bought this jeep in 1997 and have put a lot of time and money into it. Now after 18 years, am ready to sell it. The first thing i did was put a Chevrolet 327 in it from a 1968 Corvette. It was rebuilt at 30 over and i added some heavy duty heads with Eldobrock Intake and Carb. with a MSD Ignition System. I also put in a new 4 core Radiator. Behind it i put a Chevrolet SM-465 Transmission with a 11" Clutch. Just in case you don't know that SM-465 is a one ton 3-Speed with a Granny Gear rated at 6 to 1. Chevrolet used this transmission for 20 years in there trucks. It is rock solid. Then Converted it to a Hydrolic Clutch. I added a Warn 9000 Winch and a duel Battery system so one battery runs the motor and the other for the Winch. Both charge from the same altenator. I Upgraded the rear axle with a one piece axle kit with Detriot Locker and new ring & pinion gears at 3.73 and upgraded both Drive shafts. In the front i put the same New ring & pinion gears at 3.73 with a Detriot true lock locker. It also has 33" Monster Boggers. The other day i broke a front drive shaft u-joint so i just now put in a Upgraded New G2 front axle kit with new rotors, rakes, ubs, earing, pindles, very thing at the cost of 1,400 dollars. Thru the years i put in a new gas tank and sending unit, new gages, ad a custom tire rack built, dded a gang box, nd a hi-lift jack. I am sure that i am forgetting some thing at this time. But it is worth every penny of my reserve price. I have never gotten stuck in it and it has never left me walking. It may not look like much but if it didn't give it more power or a lower gear ratio, didn't spend my money on it. the motor has about 40,000 miles on it and i will miss having it. If you have any question, eel free to ask. Thanks for looking.
