Up for Sale i have this 1983 JEEP CJ7. I have had this jeep for the last 20 years and have put a lot of money in it. But now that i am getting older and i do not do much with it anymore. I would like to sell it and let someone else enjoy it. The jeep will be a great buy for what i am selling for. If you are not interested PLEASE do not waste my time. I am not going to list everything that i have done to it but here is somethings that i have done to it. First thing i did was put new big dick leaf spring with a 2" lift and Rancho shocks. Then i replaced the old 6 cyclinder with a HIGH PERFORMANCE 1968 CHEVROLET 327 out of a corvette. Board it out to 30 over with some heavy duty heads, eldabrock intake and carb with a new MSD offroad ignition system. I put a new 4 core Radiator in it to keep that cool. I then replaced the old jeep transmission with a Chevrolet ROCK SOLID one ton SM-465 Granny geared transmission. I also upgraded the clutch and pressure plate to an 11" and installed a new hydrolic clutch system. At this time i had the DANA 300 Transfer Case rebuilt. I have upgraded both Drive shafts, and all universal joint to handle the extra tork. And upgraded both front and rear axles with aircraft hardened steal. I put a New Detroit Locker with 2.73 ring and pinion gears in the rear and a true lock locker in the front with the same 2.73 ring and pinion gears in the front. Put some rims and 33" TSL Bogger / Super Swampers on it. Installed New Warn 9000 winch and Warn Hubs on it. The motor has about 40,000 miles on it and the tires may have about 2000 miles on them. Thru the years i have added some comp gauges, Lighted Tach, New gas tank with sending unit, custom made tire rack, custom made front bumper, Dual Batteries, and some nice leather seats. There is much more to talk about and the jeep could use a like work here and there but over all this is a great JEEP for the trails. It has never left me walking and i have never got it stuck. I have never been much for putting it in the mud. Thanks for looking and i hope you will enjoy it as much as i have.
