I believe I am the second owner. Vehicle has been a Texas truck until being moved into the garage here in his second house at the ski resort where it sat for last 12 years. It has the original 77K miles and the 1st owners Son built the bumpers, added the warn 8K winch, Hecho steering stabilizer, Rancho shocks on all 4 corners, and the heavy duty cast iron bullet proof NP. 4-spd tranny / transdapt adaptor / dana 20 gear drive transfer case after the aluminum T-5 blue up, and one piece forged rear axles. Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar. Tires have a little over 1000 miles on them. Now the bad, the original 6 cylinder had a slight knock, most likely a rod. No problem, didn't like the anemic 6 banger anyway. The good, I had an original 1976 Jeep Grand Wagoneer with 41,253 to donate it's 401 V-8 !!! Engine was rebuilt with new rings / bearings, massaged oil pump, heads got stainless steel valves and hardened exhaust seats with HP springs for the new 480 lift hydrauliccam. Pocket work behind the valves / full porting on exhaust, match porting on the intake with slight port correction for better flow / fuel economy. Edelbrock performer aluminum intake and valve covers, with Holly vacuum secondary electric choke 750. Please note that this engine is the best AMC ever produced with a forged steel crank and rods. This engine had only 41,253 miles when removed. All brand New Parts for this build; Hayes flywheel and 3000 lb. diaphram clutch set, V-8 Radiator, shroud, MSD electronic ignition, MSD custom wire set, Headmen ceramic coated fenderwell headers, 2.5" exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, throttle cable, battery, Edelbrock aluminum performer intake, Edelbrock aluminum finned valve covers, stainless steel battery try, radiator overflow and windshield washer bottles, radio antennae, passenger side mirror, clutch fork boot, front semi-metallic front brakes and rear shoes, fender flares I installed as the originals were all cracked, chrome molyheavy duty aftermarket off roadpolyurethane V-8 engine mounts, new fluids in both differentials and transfer case and transmission. Engine has complete factory Jeep accessory drive set-up however it has an upgraded custom made mount for the better Sanden A/C compressor. A/C is better version dealer add on by the original owner when purchased new and works great. Power steering but has manual brakes. Truck has all original factory interior in excellent shape. Top appears to have been off a few times and painted once. Hard doors are in excellent shape and has a factory bikini top to use when roof is removed. Engine has barley 60 miles on it and is not even broken in yet. I am sure there is much more stuff that I installed new that I have forgotten. Nice solid truck but paint is faded and worn in places as pictured but has never been wrecked or repaired in any way.
