Jeep 1983 CJ7 RenegadeAMC 304 5 liter V-8 Engine with T-4 four speed TransmissionOdometer reads 121,xxxThis engine was put in by the first owner in the mid 90's. I am the second owner. I want to be very forward that this jeep is in great shape cosmetically and mechanically, but it is not without its small problems. The most notable issue is the undercarriage. If I were to keep it I would replace the bushings as well as the struts and maybe down the road the springs. I am not trying to deceive anyone and want to be as clear as I can about everything with this vehicle. If you have questions, please ask. Bonus - Original AMC Jeep Keys (2) In the last 2000 miles the following work has been completed:New CarburetorNew ThermostatNew Warne Hubs in the frontTransmission and Transfer case flushed - Shifts very smoothNew front seatsNew paint and decals (color code and decals match the originals)Only 1 imperfection in the paint (shown in pictures on tailgate. As you can see i have had quite a bit of work done to it over the years. To the furthest extent of my knowledge there are no mechanical issues with the vehicle. Any problems I had while owning were addressed and fixed by a local mechanics shop who is now very familiar with this vehicle. The shop's contact information can be provided if you would like further explanation or if you would like to vet the work. I do not ever drive this more than 50 miles in one go. There are no problems with the jeep, but if you are taking it home a long distance, perhaps it is best to tow it or trailer it. Please feel free to inquire for more pictures and further information. |
