This Bullnose 1973 Jeep Commando SC-2 has been in my Texas family since 1976. The odometer reading of 38233 (thirty eight thousand two hundred thirty three) is 100% accurate with at least half of those being towage mileage from behind a motor home. It’s been a great restoration project, unfortunately I no longer have the time to complete. It’s in excellent shape having been kept in a garage for more than half of its 45 yr life span. Other than surface rust on the tailgate the over-all body condition is solid as a rock. Features, upgrades and current status as follows: Interior - the driver and passenger seats (bases only) were reupholstered in 2014
- original dash contains a split
- Tuffy center console lockable security compartment (loose, has yet to be installed)
- factory Air Conditioning – I believe it is only in need of freon, but can’t be 100% sure
- tub and interior doors were stripped to the metal and bed-lined in 2013
- new weather stripping applied to hatch and tailgate
- after-market cassette stereo works, but the surface mount speakers were removed when the spray-in bed-liner was applied
Exterior - no body damage other than the front grill being creased (left side) from hitting a deer in the late 80s all original sheet metal including floors, no patch panels anywhere.
- front bumper is original with brackets welded for tow bar connection (unfortunately the tow bar no longer exists)
- CJ style side mirrors, aftermarket purchased in 2012
- thru-bolts at rear right corner-panel are remnants of a 5gl jerry can bracket
- hard-top was stripped to the metal, primer coat and painted in 2017
Suspension/ Tires/ Wheels - Hell Creek 4” spring under lift, installed in 2013.
- BF Goodrich 33 x 10.5s A/T tires (less than 200 miles)
- American Racing Outlaw wheels (less than 200 miles)
Engine - 304 AMC V8
- new plugs, lines, coil and distributor installed 2012 (less than 500 miles)
- new radiator installed 2011 (less than 500 miles)
- new fuel pump installed 2018 (less than 10 miles)

Electrical 4x4 - locking hubs - no issues, no work has been performed
