Description of 1970 Jeep Commando Standard

This is a true Jeepster Commando Convertible, not a wagon with the top removed. A Barn Find 5 years ago, turned over to a Classics Shop for Driver Restoration (almost $4K spent - receipts shown). The last 5 years the Jeepster has enjoyed a leisurely Ranch-Style life, participating in several parades, tooling around in the open car with dogs, and owner, enjoying the wind and smells of the open air. With just 105K miles, the Dauntless 225 V-6 provides plenty of power and the automatic transmission is solid. Owner has never used Jeepster off-road and cannot speak to 4WD system, though everything looks in place as it should. Original upholstery is weathered and has some small tears, complete set of seatbelts. There are no rust issues. It has been insured by Haggerty. The Jeepster is open/roadster style, as it was when current owner purchased, and there is not a convertible top presently. This is a fun, safe, rare, and reliable Jeepster. Bid with confidence. For sale locally also, seller reserves right to end auction early. On Mar-16-22 at 11:38:06 PDT, seller added the following information:

Thank you for your interest in my 1970 Jeepster Convertible. It is indeed a true convertible w/1/4 windows, plastic trim. Has power steering, does not have power brakes. Has original, and in very good condition, the floor mats w/Jeep logo.
Also has Ramsey winch w/remote, and rare console clock. When I purchased I empowered a Classics Car Shop to refurbish the Jeepster, "do what needs doing." Cost was $4K, but gave me peace of mind driving this classic.
Bid with confidence. This model, 8702, is referred to as the Austere model, and 294 of them were produced by Kaiser in 1970.

Additional pictures of engine, console, owners manuals, and ideally a video, will be posted soon.
