This is an original 1979 Jeep CJ5 Renegade with the 304 ci engine and 3 speed manual for sale. Listed this previously as non-running (buyer flaked), but have since had the carburetor professionally rebuilt. Located in near Mill Creek, WA 98208. Color is Ensign Blue. It is a very cool vehicle, and there aren't many in this color with this engine. But it’s far from perfect. Runs, shifts and drives. Clean WA title in my name on hand. There are a few dings and a dents as pictured and some surface rust, but it’s solid overall. The floor pans were replaced by a classic car restorer. They are solid, but the job could have been done better. I believe the paint and decals are original, though I can't be 100% certain. I purchased in 2020, and drove it around quite a bit. I have a video of it running from a few days ago. I hate to sell it, but I’m not as mechanically inclined as necessary and just don’t have the time she deserves. Odometer doesn’t have the first digit and is likely 112k+ but reads 12,xxx. Speedometer and tach work. Fuel gauge does not. Transfer case works great — goes into 2wd, 4-high, 4-low and neutral without issue. Shifts through the gears and reverse with no issues. Power steering works. Power brakes worked when parked. It stopped ok but likely needs new front brake pads for the front disc brakes. Runs straight down the road with typical CJ handling. The only major rust area it had was the front floors and seat area. It’s bare metal and there’s a little surface rust on those now. The rear seat area has some issues but is still solid. Otherwise the frame and body appear to be in good shape. See photos of the frame -- those are very representative of what the whole frame looks like. Turn signals and brake lights worked a year ago — haven’t checked them lately. The headlight switch is missing and I never got around to replacing it. Had a roll cage, but had it cut out when the floors were replaced. Windshield is cracked and a little foggy, but good enough to drive it. BFG All-Terrain tires have good tread and hold air. Comes with an aftermarket denim bikini top. I have a very old and probably unusable kayline denim top. The denim doors are still ok (see pictures). Have a maybe usable kayline black top and doors. Also have an OEM whitco frame and hardware and a set of tan whitco doors from a ‘78. Can be flat towed a few miles if needed. It’s a great CJ that gets looks and comments every time I take it out despite its flaws. Looks amazing from 20 feet. But again, it will need some time put into it to make it run like it can. I have done my best to be very clear about exactly what this is and its condition. It will need to be towed or transported, so make sure you're able to do that and are sure you want the vehicle before bidding. I don't have much more info, but let me know what questions you have. $500 non refundable deposit due when auction ends. Payment must be fully clear before vehicle will be released. This is the first vehicle I've sold on eBay, but I have great feedback going back 20 years. I can help load it but otherwise transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions.
