Description of 1973 Jeep Commando |
*1973 Jeep Commando* Hard to find classic 50 year old Jeep 4x4! The 72/73 are the only years that have the same front end shape similar to the first generation Bronco’s. These don’t come around very often. Full convertible with mesh top and net tube doors (No hardtop or original doors included) Vehicle Details 4.2 liter 6 cylinder 4x4 with a manual 3 speed. Runs great - turn key. Shifts like butter! One step on the gas in the morning and it fires right up. Let it warm up and your ready to go! Tons of upgrades and new parts - New clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, resurfaced flywheel, new pilot bearing. New manual locking front hubs New Front/rear drum brakes Dana 44 - gearing unknown w/welded spider gears Dana 27 - 3:73 gearing T-14 Dana 20 Blue gray primer paint New: 33x12.5x15 Nexen ATX tires Rancho/Procomp shocks steering stabilizer front suspension bushings aluminum radiator tie rods single chamber muffler power steering unit rag joint Lower steering bushing Battery Starter solenoid starter ignition switch steering wheel turn signal lever grab handles cup holder carb air filter spark plugs wires distributor cap rotor battery recent alignment Cooling system flushed, all fluids/oil changed. New seats 4 point harness seat belts steering wheel new windshield floor insulation diamond plate rubber floor mats diamond plate rear deck CB Radio for mock up Ammo box center console Full custom roll cage w/padding Custom tube net doors Off road lights New mesh Bimini Top no radio or heater stock gauge panel that works but can’t verify if they’re all accurate. This isn’t a trailer queen and it’s far from perfect. It’s loud, noisy and drives as you’d expect from a cool vintage Jeep. No smog check required! The body is pretty straight but has dents, scratches and rust which is expected for a 50 year old Jeep but still looks awesome! This Jeep is perfect for driving around town, a ranch or off- road . Not recommended for long freeway driving because of low gearing and gas mileage. A lot of the mods were done by the previous owner so I don’t have all the specs. Has some spots of rust on body and floor pan with some already patched but still looks cool! If you’re looking for a unique fun and cool vehicle, this is it! Get it before it’s gone. This vehicle is listed locally as well so don’t miss out! Buyers with zero feedback or sales/purchases will be ignored due to scammers. Buyer is responsible for transport. Cash in hand only at time of pickup. May consider offers. |
