Description of 1994 Land Rover Defender

1994 Land Rover Defender 90

You are viewing an original North American Specification 1994 Land Rover Defender 90 Soft Top. I purchased the Defender in 2012 from a gentleman who had stripped it down to the frame but lost steam by that stage. The Defender was rust free but in the condition you would expect from a 200k mile Defender that had been used exactly as it was intended. I had the frame sandblasted and powder coated then slowly built the truck up from there. All components that were not up to my standards were discarded. This was my second frame-up restoration of a Land Rover Defender. My restored Defender 110 found its way into the vaunted SEMA show in 2010. I have been driving, ff-roading, verlanding, ervicing, epairing, nd modifying Land Rovers both professionally and casually since 1999.

About the Seller

I have been a Land Rover enthusiast since purchasing my first 1994 Defender 90 ST in 1998. Land Rovers have been a part of my daily life ever since. I have owned countless Land Rover models including 10 D90's and D110's.

,
Overview

My goal for this build was to replicate what would be found on the showroom floor if Land Rover had continued to evolve and import the iconic Defender into the US. This Defender is replete with stainless steel hardware in highly visible locations and zinc plated grade 8 hardware where the need for strength is paramount. Original parts have been cleaned and refinished or replaced. As you will read below, here are numerous powder coated components throughout the build. All powder coated components were finished in Cardinal BK-08 which can be found in nearly all powder coating facilities should the new owner decide to coat any additional components for the truck.

I have a freshly rebuilt 4.6L long block that I had been building for my second D110 but sold the truck before I installed it. It is available for $7500 installed.

The last few pictures of the truck do not represent the paint color well. The pictures of the D90 in the desert are visually accurate. The other pics were taken with an inferior camera in different lighting but I wanted to make sure I had sufficient pictures of the body for this listing.
