Description of 1962 Land Rover Defender |
For Sale: My 1962 Land Rover 109 5 door Series IIA Safari Station Wagon with 78263 original miles. I purchased this Land Rover 2012 with 78,000 miles and it is registered it in Colorado with a clear diesel title. This truck has been a frame off/up rebuild. Starting in 2012, the truck was completely taken down to the frame. This truck brings the old feel of the Series IIA Safari rig feel with a number of upgrades for comfort and performance. I am almost done rebuilding this truck, (I am waiting on one new lower radiator hose-estimated early June 2016 completion) Every item on this truck has been gone through very thoroughly. Since buying this vehicle I have upgraded and overhauled most of the vehicle to make it a reliable dependable vehicle for remote off highway travel. Mechanically the truck will be completely redone. I have all the receipts for every part/work/labor etc which total near the asking price. I unfortunately cannot keep this truck (which was my dream Rover) after all the work/time and money put into it-- and need to sell it to pay for college tuition for my wife. Of note: *When doing the Diesel Conversion, I switched to the Defender front end for the grill and hood to allow for more room in the engine compartment.
