Please note.... This Land Rover is located in the lake district in the UK. I have been exporting land rovers to the states for the last 5 years (all export data to verify). I supply a few of the dealers out there directly but Im now selling odd ones myself thus cutting out the middle man. Being in the uk it will obviously need shipping. All numbers are matching with original chassis and period engine and over 25 years old making this 100 per cent eligible for the states. I have exported around 60 land rovers and never had an issue with any getting through customs and its much easier than people think. Abide by the rules and all will go smoothly.
This is a very solid 1988 Land Rover 90. It has the 2.5 turbo diesel engine fitted. It has a valid MOT until November 2017. For those who don't know, an MOT is an annual inspection of the vehicle that checks for corrosion, brakes, tyres, lights, etc etc. This passed fine and the tester commented how solid the chassis is.
The Land Rover is obviously over the 25 year threshold and has matching numbers so is perfectly exportable.
The exterior is in great order. It has recently been refinished in hard wearing UPOL raptor which looks great and is an ideal look to match the off road additions. Speaking of those, it has had a 2 inch suspension lift, rock sliders, Insa turbo tyres, a snorkel and also the massive 13000lb winch. The winch can be controlled with a wired controller or also a wireless remote. There has also been an updated exhaust fitted which sounds great. The body is very straight indeed and there are no marks anywhere. It really is very good indeed. It also has the better split top doors which are known for being more solid. It certainly draws attention wherever it goes.
The interior is in good shape. The original seats have been removed and replaced with much better discovery seats which are much more comfortable and supportive. The dash is all present and in good shape. There is a good stereo fitted and also some additional speakers in the rear which all work well. The door cards have been painted the same colour as the exterior. The floor pans are very solid also.
The engine starts instantly from warm or cold and runs superbly well. There is no smoking and no nasty noises whatsoever. The turbo has recently been replaced so it pulls very well indeed. The 5 speed transmission is great and all gears change well with no issues. The clutch is good also. The brakes are good as are the steering and the suspension. Tge 4wd low box all works well also. The 90 does drive very very well indeed and whoever buys it will not be disappointed as it definitely puts a smile on your face.
