Description of 1991 Land Rover Defender |
Actual VIN=SALLDVAF7HA46886 Vehicle has arrived in LA and ready for pick up. This is a great defender, lots of money has been spent to make this a very well looked after defender. The body work is not the best, used by previous owner as an off roader, so driver and passenger door are dented. Previous owner also gave it a green roll paint job, original color was green as well. Drives, steers, stops well, no issues! Starts every time. I have purchased and will include a brand new pax, driver and rear door, ran out of time to install (driver and pax door will include new skin/frame/glass/keys etc... Rear door is frame only, no glass). Current doors, in typical defender fashion, have started rotting at the bottom. They are still completely functional. I have in hand a Land Rover heritage certificate certifying the Land Rover's authenticity. The Engine was changed back in 2007/8 to the same 11L spec engine. That engine was installed with ~48000 miles with the odometer reading over 100k at the time. So the actual engine installed has less than 100,000 miles on it. I have the full service history in hand. Most recent work done on it includes: Fully reformed steel wheels painted in the classic land rover cream white (FEB). Full undercarriage Waxoyle rust protection treatment to include chassis wax injection (FEB). Full Detail to remove any and all dirt from undercarriage, engine bay etc...(MAR) full service completed OCT (transmission oil, gear oil, diesel treatment, engine flush, engine oil, oil and fuel filter etc...) brand new wheels and BFG all terrain tyres (600 miles) New battery (march 18) new rear propshaft replaced turbo new fuel tank new front swivel kit, CV joint, brakes pads. rear diff removed snorkel that was not stock. Weld on Rear right of chassis new door seals all around. new cubby box mounted. Additional things that have been done over the last couple years: NAS lights Spot lights on front Loading lights on back radio and CD player Galvanised inner wings Power steering Front air vents open and close properly Has rear sliding windows and one bench seat with lap belts Discovery front and rear axles, so has disk brakes all round Jacked up on high springs with camber adjusted arms Wide angle CV joints Handbrake internals all new Fully adjustable seats Fully chequer plated rear Steering guard Diff guards Rock/Tree sliders upgraded tie bar Vented disc brakes Power steering pump fitted just before recent MOT Rear disks, callipers and pads New power steering and water pump belts Wheel bearings all round New Radiator Crankshaft seals Brand new Valeo clutch and kit in August 2016 New rear door latch Turbo boost guage Full front brake service (rear are all brand new) New fuel injector pump 2.5 years ago New lift pump 2 years ago Silicon hoses Track rod ends Head gasket set fitted June 2016 New water temperature gauge and sender unit New Spring Turrets Shock absorbers New cam belt kit fitted July 2016 Wide angle UJ's fitted Heater box and all cables and controls fitted with new parts fitted August 2016 Bearmach windscreen washer kit A frame ball joint LaserLine Alarm and Immobiliser with 3 keyfobs (2 appear never used) 2 spare sets of door/fuel keys. one spare ignition key. Exhaust Gas Temperature Gauge kit fitted, not fitted to exhaust manifold yet but accurately gives an outdoor temperature reading (I unplugged the display, easily plugged back in) As you can see a lot of money has been put in this defender to make it run as well as it can.
