Well, I used to find stuff like this all the time. Not so much anymore. What this is is a 1964 Land Rover 88 Series IIA. I got it in Southern Arizona, near Tucson. Where it had sat in a barn for about 35 years. I dug it out, washed it off in and out and am putting it here on ebay as I found it. Without the front axles, hubs, brakes, ball assemblies, missing carburetor and rear driveshaft. The previous long long time owner had 2 of these. And I am guessing took the missing parts off to keep his other one rolling down the road.I put some cutoff MGB axles into the front axle tubes and put 2 TR6 rims with tires on so it can kind of roll . Until you try and turn too much and the axles slide out. But bit keeps it out of the dirt and you can move it and very short distance on 4 rolling tires. And makes it easier to load on trailers and if shipping overseas, makes it much easier for container loading. I see complete front and rear axles for $2-300 here on eBay so no problem getting this back on its original rims and tires that are included. I put them next to the smaller TR6 rims in the pictures just standing in the wheelwells. Posing. The engine turns over easily. Besides that, I have no clue on engine condition. I do have a clue on the body and frame condition. The frame is a beauty. As rustfree, straight and clean as you will ever find. Even original kind of still shiny black factory paint under all the dirt and grease once cleaned off. The whole Rover is as original as possible. The front right fender has been patched, beat on, worked and probably should just be replaced. The PTO is there. After sitting in the Arizona Desert for over 35 years,it will need all fluids changed, filters, major tuneup, belts, hoses, brakes bled, gas tank flushed and all the rest of the fun stuff to get a longtime sitting car going again.Possibly rebuild engine time. But this truck will be worth that and will be a great one to work with.It will be hard to find a better, straighte, more rustfree body than this one.If you ever thought of going thru a Series IIa Rover top to bottom, this would fit the bill. And always start off with the most rustfree straight original base as you can find. And this fits that bill too.I travel around the West Coast with my truck and trailer and might be able to get it to you or close. And can arrange trucking to Long Beach California shippers for overseas buyers for $300. Clean straight title.Bidders with less than 10 positive feedback must contact me before bidding or else bid will be cancelled.
