Description of 1978 Land Rover Other |
Here is your opportunity to own a legendary vehicle without paying a rock star price. Be prepared to have lot's of conversations at the diesel pump. Everybody loves a Landy. This is a Spanish assembled Land Rover by Santana that spent it's prior years on the island of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, an island 30 by 16 miles, so that explains the super low mileage. No rust, they don't get much rain and no need to salt the roads. It still wears its Canary Islands license plates proudly. However, it licensed for the road in KY and has a clear title. It is a rare left hand drive diesel. Everything works well, with new glow plugs and new tires. 4WD low and high range back up the reputation for go anywhere. If the ad is up it is for sale. I have a video walkaround with the diesel happily chattering away in a link if interested. This vehicle starts right up, and doesn't smoke after that first startup cloud common to the Landy's. The clutch is strong, the brakes will bring it to a stop smoothly, and the lights and turn signals all work. With a little work the top even comes off. Bring your own adventure, and start your legend! VIN not recognized by Ebay. New Defender on it's way, not interested in trades. Motivated to sell. Reserve is lower than a typical side by side UTV and you can drive this on the road! I reserve the right to stop the auction for any reason. Ask all the questions you want, ask for pictures. It is an agreement to purchase at the last price of the auction. |
