Meticulously restored in 2011 and garage-kept. The drivetrain of this IIA was upgraded to a Land Rover 3.9L V8, R380 5-speed transmission, LT230 transfer case. Electronic fuel injection, power front and rear disc brakes, electric radiator fan, power steering, parabolic leaf springs, new galvanized frame, tornado alloy wheels, Defender hand-brake, leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel on adjustable Defender steering column, fuel tank under passenger seat replaced with storage locker and longer range fuel tank mounted in rear. Multiple new body panels. Alpine head unit in Tuffy center console with door mounted speakers. Includes full-size spare tire and two Thule load bars. 45,482 miles at the time of restoration. The gearing between the new transmission and the odometer does not match so miles aren't recorded accurately. New drivetrain has less than 5,000 miles.
