Description of 1960 Land Rover Defender

The truck appears black in the pictures but is in fact dark green. A well sorted rig with some nice upgrades. Chevy straight 6 conversion . 3:55 gearing with strengthened half shafts. 4 speed with overdrive splitter ( in all gears). The Power Brakes have been gone through. nbsp;new king pins and tires . all Joints and splines are tight. Gauges and lights are fully functional except the voltmeter which reads incorrectly low. one of the reverse lights is burnt out as well. Heater and wipers work well. The upgraded engine pulls well with a ton of torque. I just drove the truck on a 90 mile highway trip. cruises comfortably at 55 mph and holds its speed climbing steep freeway grades holding temperature with no overheating issues. That being said. this is a 55 year old Land Rover . if your looking for a luxurious riding truck . a late model might be a better choiceThe body is straight and tidy. a couple small parking lot dings on each door. one on the rear door and some chipping below drivers side marker lights. Undercarriage is rock solid. including bulkhead. outriggers. nbsp;and frame. The truck does not leak a drop of anything. Happy to answer any questions . Good luck
