Description of 1992 Lexus LS

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.

Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1992 Lexus LS400 sedan with just 151k miles on it. The LS400 was the flagship sedan of Toyota's new luxury brand, Lexus. I say it every time I sell one of these cars...I am admittedly a Mercedes fan but one has to acknowledge that Lexus really got this one right. The LS400 has proven to be one of the most well made and reliable luxury sedans...period. I would rate the exterior of this LS400 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. Please keep in mind that this is a nearly 25 year old car so please expect flaws and imperfections commensurate with an older vehicle. The silver over gray two tone exterior looks okay for it's age...I'd definitely call this car a ten footer, maybe twenty. Up close, you can see that there are faded spots, scratches, scuffs and other blemishes. Again...nothing hateful...but you shouldn't expect to win any car shows. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and truck all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. All of the exterior cladding is intact and shows well. The original alloy wheels show well. This LS400 is still wearing her winter shoes, and they're starting to look a little thin. I'd probably recommend getting a set of all season tires and maybe saving the Blizzak's for the winter as they're not really designed for summer use. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.

I would also rate the interior of this Lexus to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you'd expect, the interior also shows its age. The door cards are clean and tight but some of the trim and carpets on the door cards are loose. The carpets show some marks...but nothing horrible. The seats are cracked from age, as most older Toyota and Lexus cars do. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all appear to be working properly. The audio system is the original Nakamichi Premium Sound with a factory trunk mounted CD changer...which is pretty impressive considering that the CD had only been invented 4 years prior. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR. The trunk is spacious and clean. The original floor mats are included as well as a full set of books and manuals. Again, not a show car but everything seems to work.

Mechanically, this LS400 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 4.0L V8 used in the full sized Lexus cars is actually a de-tuned TRD racing engine...which is probably why these run as long as they do and feel so smooth. She starts up easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine doesn't smoke. Her road manners are good for an old car. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels smooth, just like she should. During my road test, the only idiot light on was the air bag light. The engine makes good power and feels strong. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. This LS400 has a current PA safety inspection good through the end of December, 2016. With just 151k miles showing on the clock, this LS400 is just broken in. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
