Description of 1988 Lincoln Town Car

Say hello to Project P. I. M. P. (mobile). a '88 Linc Town Car that underwent surgery to make it better. faster. stronger. Originally purchased to be an engine donor vehicle. it drove too nice to carve up. Auto transmission had seen its day with 111. 00+ miles run thru it. Interior door panels are a little rough. and the seats look aged but not horrible. Rear windows work when they feel like it also. Sports a Jensen head unit (18FM presets. CD. aux line input) The stock 302 small block Ford has Ford Motorsport shorty headers. 5. 0L Mustang throttle body. and custom CAI. Custom dual exhaust with bullet mufflers MAKES PEOPLE TAKE NOTE! But the star of the show is the T5 transmission and the the little devil coming up out the floor. Modified SN95 pedals command a stock 5. 0L clutch cable sending power thru a FMS clutch setup. The stock 8. 8 rear end is same that's in Mustangs with highway gears. The lower control arms have been boxed in to help plant power. Lakewood 50/50 rear shocks finish out the back of the vehicle. The original. never repainted. silver exterior is dressed up with chrome Gran Marquis caps. This is a project car. and a fun one at that. As such. it is rough around the edges. but it will put a smile on your face. Last time I checked there were only a handful (yes. at most FIVE!) manual shifted Lincoln Town Cars. Have well over $5000 tied up in this.
