Ford Motor Company reinstated the Continental brand with the introduction
of the Mark II Coupe in 1956. Not a Lincoln, hese truly werehand builtcars.
Their $10,000 price tag was equivalent to a Rolls Royce or twoCadillacsin 1956.
Designed to be the best of the best, hey were purchased by
the worlds most wealthy and well known people.
With only 2,600 sold in 1956 and about 440 sold in 1957, he Continental brand
was absorbed by Lincoln in 1958. Every Mark II was sold at a loss to Ford,
but the Continental name and design elements have for survived for decades.

Sold new by Truman Jones Motor Company of
Big Springs, exas in February, 956 to Ruth Currie.
At some point this car went through a cosmetic restoration of new paint,and some
chrome refreshed. The engine and transmission were just recently removed,
inspected and resealed. Only about 1K miles since refresh was completed.
This car has had a very nice dual stage repaint in factory White. Most of the chrome
looks original including the bumpers. Original two tone Brown & White leather seat upholstery
with newer plastic covers to preserve the originality.Original door panels, arpet, eadliner
and dash. This model also included a factory tach, ne of the first cars to have that feature.
Original AM Town & Country radio and factory clock.
We are selling this car two ways at buyer's choice. For either choice, e will
repair any major mechanicals including engine, ransmission, rakes and exhaust.
The air conditioning, ower seat, ach, auges, lock and heater are not working.
We can also have the seats revamped in new leather.
We will sell the car with these options repaired or not repaired, epending on the buyer's preference.
