| ONE OF 2. 00 BUILTGORGEOUS COLOR COMBINATION1956 CONTINENTAL MARK IIBELIEVED ONLY ABOUT 22K MILES SINCE NEW Ford Motor Company reinstated the Continental brand with the introduction of the Mark II Coupe in 1956. Not a Lincoln. these truly were handbuilt cars. Their $10. 00 price tag was equivalent to a Rolls Royce or two Cadillacs in 1956. Designed to be the best of the best. they were purchased by the world's most wealthy and well know people. With only 2. 00 sold in 1956 and about 440 sold in 1957. the Continental brand was absorbed by Lincoln in 1958. Every Mark II was sold at a loss to Ford. but the Continental name and design elements have for survived for decades. This car was originally sold by Raymond Pearson Motor Company of Houston. Texas according to the Mark II registry information. At some point this car went thru a cosmetic restoration of new paint. new interior. nd chrome refresh. The engine and transmission were just recently removed. nspected and resealed. Inspection showed little internal wear. helping supporthistorical claims this is an original 22K mile car. This car has had a very nice dual stage repaint in Aqua Metallic. Most of the chrome looks new including the bumpers. New two tone Cream leather seat upholsterywith Aqua piping and accents. New door panels. carpet. headliner and dash. This model also included a factory tach. one of the first cars to have that feature. There is an aftermarket cassette stereo in the dash. We can find an original radio. We are selling this car two ways at buyer's choice. For either choice. we willrepair any major mechanicals including engine. transmission. brakes and exhaust. The air conditioning. power seat. rear power windows. right vent window. tach. gauges. clock and heater are not working.
