1966 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL COUPE
PLEASE READ AD CAREFULLY
First 3 photos are from a few years ago; I have owned for 10 years and it was gorgeous but now is not running and has a little body damage.
A couple years ago the fuel pump failed and it has been idle and garaged since then. Additionally, the car was hit at slow speed on the driver's side, causing slight to moderate damage to driver's door and front quarter panel, as seen in last 2 photos.
Prior to the fuel pump going out, car ran great: engine strong and transmission smooth. There were a few items that did not work, namely the air conditioning, factory 8 track player (am radio and electronic telescopic antenna are fine), and 2 of the electric windows would often stop working (the electric windows are a chronic Lincoln problem; motors and all other parts are easily available on eBay and elsewhere.)
Has nice repaint in original metallic blue color. Vinyl roof has been replaced but needs rear trim pieces installed (I had them re-plated but they have not been re-attached.) Not show quality but a beautiful driver.
Overall, chrome and stainless steel trim are good but not perfect.
All stock except for wide whitewalls (while not correct for a '66, they look fantastic.) Has original triple black interior in very good condition (leather seats, carpet, headliner.) A rare model in beautiful trim that evokes images of Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin cruising down Rodeo Drive; it would get much more attention when I drove through Beverly Hills than the commonplace Bentleys and Ferraris.
Please contact me for more information; car is currently in a secured, dark garage where it is hard for me to get good photos.
I will be glad to give you honest and accurate information, and answer any questions you may have. If in Los Angeles, you are encouraged to see the car in person. However, please be respectful of my time if you do not have a serious interest (if you just want to have some "car talk" please call in to a radio show instead.) Thanks very much for looking and best wishes to you.
