1946 Lincoln Zephyr convertible Up for bid is a 1946 Lincoln Zephyr convertible. This car is a very solid car that has been tucked away out of the elements for many years. We are relisting this car because we basically misrepresented the year the first time we listed it. This Car was originally thought to have been a 1942, but based on the Vin number, it is a 1946.I would imagine that there are very few left. This car has been off the road since the late 70s, early 80s. The gentleman that we purchased this car from stated that his father had the car for many years. The motor is a V- 12 that was rated at 110 hp. with a three speed on the column manual transmission. The motor does turn over and is not seized. The tires hold air and the wheels all turn freely as well. The floors are solid, the trunk is solid, and the body panels are also very solid with an extremely minimal amount of rust . Production of all American cars halted in 1942 as the country entered World War II, with Lincoln producing the last Lincoln Zephyr on February 10. After the war, most makers restarted production of their pre-war lines, and Lincoln was no exception . The Zephyr name however was no longer used after 1942 with the cars simply called Lincolns. There is a Vin number stamped on the driver side frame in the engine compartment. This car comes with a bill of sale only and no title. I would be glad to answer any of your questions.610-655-5761.
