When talking about cars, start your sentence with "1957", and people immediately know that it was built in the heyday of the styling departments at the auto makers. Say "Lincoln" in the next breath, and they immediately know it will set the gold standard for luxury, regardless of the year. This Lincoln Premiere is the best of both worlds, combined. This car is stunning in Turquoise and Starmist White. A unique feature of this luxury coupe, is the pillarless design that lacks the traditional B-pillars between the front and rear windows, and serves to highlight the long body lines of the car. The chrome on this car shines brightly and there is plenty of it to show off. Start up front by surrounding the 4 headlights with it, then dress the leading edge of the hood, the grill and the bumper with it. Next let your eyes follow an accent strip of chrome down the side of the car noticing the accent at the front edge of the rear fins along the way. The back bumper is topped by tall taillights, also dressed for the show, on the back end of those classic fins. Tasteful Lincoln and Premiere badging appears on the fenders, trunk, and of course the hood, and it all sits on wide white wall tires with polished Lincoln hubcaps. Step into this car to enter the lap of luxury. Power seats covered in leather cradle you. The headliner, door panels and seats are all in great condition and look new. The four spoke steering wheel is a work of art in black, white and chrome with the column shifter tipped in white completing the picture. The dash is black padded on top with a turquoise lower. The gauges are above, with the switches below, the padding. There are white levers for heating and ventilation controls to the left of the steering wheel as well as power window switches, which even include power vent windows, to the left of the driver and of course at each passenger position. Let's not forget about the power door locks, and an AM radio with both Town and Country settings, which even has a power antenna. The car will even dim your headlights automatically for you when the sensor on the dash detects an oncoming car. Open the hood on this car and you will notice that everything appears stock, clean and well maintained. A nice feature here is that Lincoln moved to a 12 Volt electrical system in '56, so the car starts easily and there is plenty of power to run all those accessories. The engine in this car is 368 cubic inches of smooth power and is announced as a Lincoln V8 by the gold valve covers. Also gold is the air filter housing that feeds clean air to a Carter 4 bbl carburetor along with the dipstick and oil fill cap. All stock, correct, neat, and clean. Power flows back through a 3 speed Turbo Drive automatic transmission to drive the rear wheels. The front wheels are operate by power steering through an independent suspension. Those wide white-walled, 8.20-15 tires, are where the rubber meets the road, and this car is above all else, a Premiere road car. Come down and experience this car in person. Take in the stunning looks. Take it for a ride. Then take it home if you like.
