NO RESERVE! 1966 Maserati Mistral 4.0 Listed on behalf of Monte Shelton Located in PORTLAND, OREGON This one-owner, 1966 Maserati Mistral Coupe was purchased new from Ron Tonkin Motors in Portland, Oregon. Always pampered, it was sparingly used until 1975 when the car was parked with just 39,892 miles on the odometer (64,201 kilometers) because of issues with the fuel injectors. The owner placed the car on jack stands in his heated garage where it remained for 42 years until now, when it is being made available. PLEASE TAKE 6 MINUTES AND VIEW THE VIDEO BELOW, FOR THE FULL STORY OF THE REDISCOVERY OF THIS INCREDIBLE TIME-CAPSULE MASERATI. The storage conditions were excellent. Heated, private garage. The alloy body is in excellent condition. Only one small, shallow dent was noted on the driver's side, just in front of the gas filler door. Nothing big and does not affect the paint, but I do want to mention it. There is some paint discoloration on a portion of the hood, but it should clean up. Otherwise, the body and paint are exceptional and again, completely original. Chrome and trim are also excellent original with no pitting, again a reflection of warm inside storage. Note that the car has NOT been cleaned or detailed in any way when the photos and video was taken. The interior is spectacular, as the photos attest. The original red leather is supple and smooth, with only wear commensurate with mileage, noted on the driver's seat. No rips or tears. Please see photos. The car was stored with moisture-absorbing crystals inside, so there is no musty smell or other odors. The headliner and carpets are excellent. Even the roller shade that covers the rear compartment of the hatchback looks and works like new. Wheels are the original wire Borranis wrapped with what appear to be the original Pirelli tires. Spare wheel and tire in the rear compartment, along with tool roll and jack. Mechanically, this Maserati is exactly as-found. Original Maserati 4.0 litre 6 cylinder engine, rated at 255 HP. No attempt has been made to turn or start the engine. All original components appear to be there, and a friend of the original owner tells us that prior to storage, the battery was removed, the water was drained from the radiator and engine, the spark plugs were removed and oil was injected into the top of the cylinders. While we can make no guarantees, we believe that a competant Maserati mechanic could have this car running in short-order. Again, we do know it was running at the time it was parked, and other than some problems with the fuel injectors, we are told all other components were operating properly at the time. This is a great opportunity to acquire a beautiful, COMPLETELY ORIGINAL Maserati Mistral. We have decided to let the bidders determine the price. OFFERED AT NO RESERVE. HIGH BIDDER WILL WIN THE CAR. (Please Note: We do ask that out of respect for all bidders that you have your finances in order before bidding and do not bid unless you intend to follow through with the purchase. We have been selling on eBay since 1998 with 100% positive feedback. We take all bids seriously and expect bidders to do the same. Thank you.) AUCTION ENDS SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 19th. 9:00am Pacific Time. WE WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BIDDERS WORLDWIDE. Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK! If the video link below is inactve, please go to: https://youtu.be/hZzHVFdF3lE
