This is a no reserve auction so the highest bidder wins the car.You are bidding on a 1967 Maserati Mistral 4.0L project, which could be made into a spider conversion or used for parts. The previous owner removed the engine and tried to install a Chevy V8 so some of the square tubing was removed and discarded. I have some new replacement square tubing that will be included in the purchase. The car spent most of its life in dry storage in a Nevada aviation hanger. I acquired the car in 2016 with the intention of restoring it. The aluminum body is in excellent condition and shows no corrosion. The frame was sand-blasted two years ago but it now has surface rust from sitting outside. There are no rust holes nor rust crust on the chassis, only surface rust that can be easily removed by chemical dipping. The 4.0L engine has been in indoor storage for the last 30 years. It was taken apart but never reassembled. The engine is complete with the exception of the exhaust headers. The engine is also equipped with the weber intake manifold and early air box. The side draft webers are not included. The Indy wheels currently on the car (in the pictures) are not included but a used set of bolt-on Borranis will be included with the purchase---"see photos". The parts that are missing: front upper bumper, ampmeter, rear taillight, front windshields, and door handles. These missing parts are available new or used for purchase separately, if desired.Shipping is available worldwide. Payment must be done via wire transfer no later than 3 days after the auction has ended. I reserve the right to end the auction early.
