Description of 1985 Mazda RX-7 GS

RX7 1985, 12A for sale. The car is complete and is in running condition. The engine starts first time every time. However its lacking power on acceleration. The previous owner told me that the NIKKI carburetor needs to be rebuilt. I will include the carburetor rebuild kit with the car. Also he said that the engine has been rebuilt approx. 10K miles ago, but I have no way of verifying this. The paint is not original and there are several small chips and nicks. The original paint color was red. The body is straight. No accidents as far as I can tell. Tires are used but ok. The paint looks good from 20ft. This is not a show car and it needs TLC. Apart from the paint and the seats, the car seems to be all original. It has a hard top, no sunroof. All glass is good, no cracks. Interior is missing few things such as A/C knob, passenger sun visor, driver side window regulator needs adjusting, gas tank door doesn't latch. I am sure I forgot something. The car leaks some oil seemingly from under the oil cooler. It probably needs O rings replaced. Maybe the oil pan gasket as well, not sure. The mileage on the clock seems high 256k, but the engine starts right up and idles ok. It suppose to be a rebuilt 12A engine. The car was never raced or abused, I was told. I checked the fuel pressure and it was ok, about 3psi. I have not checked the engine compression. The car has a new air filter, fuel filter and it has a new battery. Spark plugs have been cleaned up. It starts up first time every time. This car is for a person who knows rotary engines. They consume oil and do run at higher temperature then cylinder engines. This car needs some work but its a steal at this price, even if you sell it for parts only. The reason for selling it: I am too busy to undertake another project at this time. The car is also listed locally, so the auction may end at any time. Ask question if unsure before you bid. All sales are final. Deposit of $300 due within 48 hrs of auction end. The full payment within 7 days after auction ends. Good luck bidding.
