The RX-5 Cosmo, was Mazda's largest rotary-powered coupe at the time and was based on the LA series Mazda Lucefloor pan and mechanics. It weighed in at 2524 lbs. (slightly heavier than the Mazda RX-7 of its day) dueto body design and more luxurious appointments. The car has a five-link rear suspension and four wheel disc brakes.
