1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE ORIGANAL 13b RE-EGI 5-Speed Posi!

Up for grabs is our 1985 RX-7 GSL-SE that we’ve owned since 1998 when I bought it for my wife. At one point she signed over the title to our son but ended up keeping it herself.

The car has never been driven in the winter and always taken care of. And we proudly drove it every year up until two years ago.

I got it out of the barn last month and it isn’t running right. I put on a brand new set fuel injectors and a used fuel pump but no difference.

It fires right up and can be driven but just very little power, but every now and then while driving it’ll kick in and run right and fly like a bullet.

I re-painted the car back in 2001 and it could use another paint job as well as the common maintenance stuff that any other car of this vintage would need (again hence the low asking price). The interior is in great shape for the age (no cracks in dash ....) and even has the original factory Clarion stereo system (worth hundreds by itself). This is the top of the line GSL-SE that came with the limited slip posi rear end and four wheel disk brakes, A/c (works but needs re-charge), power windows, etc everything option available except for power steering.

It does show about 178 grand on the speedo but you know full well that parted out this car would be worth more then I’m asking but I really want to see this car go to a good home and be driven again.

The rear wiper does not work and does leak when it rains but the cargo area is not rotted and the carpet, as well as the entire interior, will clean up very well.It does have some minor rust in the right rear quarter panel, the front fenders and sun roof but for the age of the car its not bad at all.Please remember:"Buyer responsible for vehicle pick-up or shipping"

The only thing original about the exhaust is the manifold. It has a 2" pipe all the way back to the rear "can" no converters.It does need a new gasket where the pipe connects to the manifold.It is loud but when the car runs right it sounds like a chainsaw on steroids.
