| 1979 Mercedes Benz SL - Class 450SL This SL class Mercedes is an excellent example commensurate with 53. 00 original miles. Very desirable Astro Silver Metallic with nicely contrasting blue interior. a striking color combination. Equipped with the very rare optional genuine Mercedes Benz spoke wheels (including spare!). Automatic. power steering. power brakes and climate control. This Mercedes starts. drives and stops just like it should. The V-8 engine purrs with a great exhaust note with no smoke and no issues. Upholstery. carpets and door cards are all present with minimal signs wear and appear to be original. This SL shows proper patina for a well cared for car of its vintage. Repainted only once in original color. it has a few stone chips. a small bubble and a few nicks and minor flaws. Documented mileage with extensive service records. Original owners manual. jack. tool kit and service booklet. Third owner. second owner in Arizona. Not concours ready. but a great example that can be driven worry free. All electrics including lights and electric windows work. Alpine stereo sounds great but is seldom used. All gauges work. Tach can be intermittent. clock is slow and window washer bottle is cracked. otherwise free of mechanical issues. Hard wired for battery tender discretely in trunk (Battery Tender included in sale).
