Description of 1983 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 300D

I have for sale my Trusty Old Mercedes Benz 300D or The Tank. I bought it on eBay 2002 from a couple of guys from Philly. they drove it down to my house just over the Maryland line. Over the years I have owned it it's gotten a rebuilt transmission and the top end of the engine done. It has never failed me. I could jump in and make a run to Maine and back (1500 miles roundtrip) and never a worry. The engine purrs (all the photos were taken with car running including the one of the exhaust pipe). The trans shifts just like the older 300 series will do noticeable thump between 1st & 2nd gears but that's how they were made. You will see that the dash upper area has a plastic cover on it and passenger side wood corner is a bit worn. The seats including the driver's are in good condition no tears. holes or rips but the stitching is starting to come apart on the top of the rear seats. Carpet is good no holes or any holes in the floor boards. Radio is an aftermarket with CD player (photo of trunk shows unit mounted plus a bunch of junk that will be cleaned out). Tires are older but still in good condition. All the windows work even the sun roof. You can see from the photos the paint job is done plus there are rust spots as well as some of the rubber is drying out. Car drives nice but it's a heavy ride as you are in a tank. With a little love it could be a super solid car for someone. Quick story. I let the car sitting for about a year. jumped in it just see if it still ran. hit the glow plugs once and she started right up. Drove to town that day. Thanks for looking if you want to stop by and take a look in person email me and we can work it out. Also if you not to far from northeastern Maryland. I have a trailer and for gas money deliver to you on a weekend. Chris PS:Had a couple of questions the other day so I took her out for a 40 mile spin just to make we are good. As soon as she warmed up down the road we went without a care. But two things I did notice #1 tach is not working (make have either rusted slightly in cable or has come unscrewed enough not to read) #2 fuel gauge only read 1/2 after I topped it off (I know the tank was full)
