You are bidding on a 1980 450sl Roadster. I have owned this southern beauty for 8 years. This car has never to my knowledge left the Augusta. Georgia area. So the car has never been on salted roads. I personally know the last two owners. Both played tennis at my club. I think the car was bought in 1980 by a lawyer. I think I am the 4th owner. This car has no rust or major repairs. I have owned for about 8 years. The motor is mechanically sound. I have done nothing but drive the vehicle a few weekends a year to the club. Back around 2005 the heater core was dripping slightly on the passenger side floor board. A mechanic plugged the heater hose due to really not needing a heater down south. I was told this when I bought the car. The air conditioner was converted to 134A years ago. It works. but I mostly kept the top off all the time. The vehicle has always been garaged kept. I have not had to make any repairs. The engine could use a steam cleaning. It has never been cleaned to my knowledge. Its has a very sound mechanical choke and fuel injection system. I am selling my toy to buy land. The car does have a new battery. I have not drove it very much the last few years. I have not started vehicle in several weeks and it fired right up to take out of garage for pictures. The hard top rack comes with the car. The blue soft top is like new. I made many pictures hoping you can vehicle judge condition. The interior had no tears or cracks. Hard to believe but the clock in the dash board still works after 34 years. I found pictures of car with hard top off/on and soft top. This will make someone a great vehicle nearly show car condition. This car is a real head turner. I welcome questions about the vehicle. There is no Reserve. The buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping. I have never sold a car online or shipped a car. No idea of cost. I would drive car to location in Augusta if buyer wanted it shipped. I am requiring winning bidder to deposit 1000 in Paypal and remainder due at pickup. Vehicle must be picked up in 10 days unless we work out a alternate agreement.
