This is a rare 1954 Mercedes 300 B Adenauer sedan projectreluctantly for sale.I purchased itfrom a gentleman in Canada and had shipped to Florida. I feel that these are incredible works of rolling art and had every intention of restoring and enjoying it but unfortunately circumstances dictate that I must let her go. One of the reasons I wanted this particular one is that it has the very rare and desirable Wabasto sun roof.If you are not familiar with these magnificent and finely crafted autos they are basically like a German version of a Rolls Royce but much better quality.I had it shipped directly to my mechanic who is about an hour north of me totake care of the mechanical's before the rest of the restoration. Here are his comments on work done and the car."Rebuilt master cylinder..rebuild all wheel cylinders.new brake hoses...rebuilt generatorrebuilt water pump..recore radiator..resealed gas tank ...complete valve job... cylinder head magnufluxed ..cylinder orginal head like new...Distributor excellent condition.new cap and rotor.. Enginehas low compression need boring and rings..turns over perfectly...starter motor rebuilt..transmission appears perfect along with differential...Dashboard 100 percent complete with perfect gauges.interior complete..sunroof perfectcondition..excellent car torestore to orginal..Solex twin down drafts carburetors in good condition Intake and exhaust manifolds in good condition."The body has some typical rust in spots like bottom of door, leftside bottom of trunk and spots underneath but not a rust bucket and easily fixable. I have a very good body guy that quoted me $1500. to replace any rust with welded correct metal. The interior is all there and actually not too bad for original. It looks like most everything is there except for a door glass and have not inventoried all the trim but looks like vast majority is there. Comes with a Bill of Sale or for $350.00 extra (my cost) can get a clean Florida title in my name. The parts alone are worth well over my reserve but I would hope that someone will finish it as it could be quite a showpiece and lots of fun. I encourage inspections and questions. * If you are a '0' rated bidder please email me your phone number to discuss your ability to purchase as there are so many scams. Also, his car is being sold "as is" with no implied or expressed warranty. Any inspections must take place before you bid not after.
