Description of 1965 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series Convertible

This absolutely stunning 1965 230SL was professionally painted 8 years ago and the body & paint are excellent. You would be hard pressed to find a body that is as straight as this original beauty. The gaps are great on the trunk, hood and two doors.

The motor is an original numbers matching 2.3 Litre fuel injected engine. The engine and the original desirable 4 speed manual transmission were rebuilt by a Certified Mercedes Technician. They have 9,000 miles since they were fully rebuilt and it starts the first time and runs very strong.

This very original car was purchased new in Boise Idaho by a dentist. Twenty years later it was purchased and was brought to the Northwest where it has been ever since. I have receipts going back to the 1980’s.

The newer correct canvas soft top is very nice and has a clear rear window. The white wall tires are in good shape. It includes the original AM / FM Becker Europa Radio and VDO clock. It has front disk brakes and 4 wheel independent suspension. The European sports cars are the fastest appreciating collector cars.

It drives as great as it looks. To ensure it is in excellent condition for your future, I had my mechanic go through the car from top to bottom and it is in excellent mechanical condition. I also just had it fully detailed from bumper to bumper, including the addition of new carpet.

This rust free Northwest car is very solid and includes the original trunk and floor pans. These Pagoda SL’s have a huge following of discerning collectors, both men and women. The wood steering wheel seen in the photos has been removed and the original steering wheel has been installed again, you can see it in the second photo in the ad.
