Description of 1977 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series |
1977 Mercedes 240D Diese, Automatic Transmission. This was my daily driver for the past year but now my commute has changed to have to drive to antelope valley and had to get something that could handle the mountains better. Runs well, starts up right away. A LOT of new parts that have been put in the last year! I no longer have a space to park this car so it needs to go- selling at a low price to move it out of here fast! Brand New parts in the last 6 months: New starter New battery - top of the line, high powered than stock (cranks engine fast!) New glow plugs- also upgraded to newer pencil style, not the original unreliable coil style. New Tires New water pump New thermostat New all belts New fuel filters - both Recent oil change new in last 1-2 years: radiator radiator hoses starts right away, starts fast (new battery and starter) These diesel cars NEVER need a smog check in California! There is a sony stereo installed with 4 new speakers and a small amplifier. Has CD player and AUX input for your phone/ MP3 player, etc. Stereo also has car phone feature with a microphone and can use with your phone via bluetooth. to be handsfree and hear the phone through the stereo speakers. - you can also connect your phone to the stereo to stream music via bluetooth as well. This car can run on vegetable oil, although the WVO veg oil parts are not connected currently. (has WVO inline fuel heater, fuel filter heater, injection line heaters). Runs great on diesel, no need to use the veg oil parts if you don't want. known issues: passenger window doesn't roll down leaks a little oil/trans fluid Registration is currently "Non-Operational" NPO status. it is not behind, or expired, it is just registered to be parked, not driven. It should be about $80 to turn the non-op status to regular registration in California. There are no past due charges due, I just paid the non-op last month. Odometer stopped working, assume 250K+ miles. |
