In the 560SL, Mercedes got it all just right, offering essentially bullet-proof reliability, satisfying power, and aggressive good looks. The 560SL combined all that Mercedes learned about the V-8 W107 chassis cars into a cultural icon that quietly and confidently told the world its occupants had "arrived." Simplicity, superb build quality, and an enduring design are all hallmarks of the Mercedes 560SL. The 560SL was the culmination in the United States of what Mercedes-Benz internally referred to as the R107 chassis, a model run that lasted for 18 years, beginning in 1972 with the US introduction of the 350SL. The R107 chassis was one of the longest running production bodies in the Diamler-Benz AG's line, and R107s are extremely well built and collectable. It is also the first V8 powered two-seater to be built at the Stuttgart, Germany factory.

Exterior:

It’s ORIGINAL and highly desirable Signal Red paint (color code #568 signalrot) looks and shines like the day it left the showroom floor, and combined with Palomino leather interior this particular 560SL just looks stunning!!! Chrome is in excellent condition, it is complete and new looking, and this beautiful roadster is a head turner and conversation piece everywhere it goes.

This Mercedes is very solid and most importantly it is rust free (please see pictures!!!). Undercarriage is all original, without any kinds of undercoatings except the factory one! When dirt is wiped off inside of the wheel wells, original Red paint is revealed, showing the originality and how well preserved this 560SL is!!!

Body is in amazing condition and it is straight as an arrow! All doors, hood, and trunk are operating with ease and everything lines up properly. It was never in an accident, and It has been always garaged, pampered and kept away from rain and bad weather, and it truly shows!!

Factory VIN # stamping on the front radiator support shows originality of this car. ALL body panels including front and rear bumpers feature original VIN number stickers (please see pictures!!). There is not a lot of 560SL’s out there in this solid and amazingly kept and preserved condition!!

This SL is equipped with both soft top and the hard top! Original Dark Brown Soft top is in excellent condition, plastic windows are nice and clear, and it is very easy to operate. Original Hard top is also in excellent condition, including all the glass, and the headliner which is clean, and rips and tears free!!

Another sign of originality of this beautiful car is stamping mark on the Hard Top (61251) which reflects the last 5 digits of the vehicles VIN number!!!

-Interior

Original Palomino Leather interior is in excellent condition, and it looks like the day it left the showroom floor! Carpet is clean and in excellent shape! Leather seats are in excellent condition as well, and are very supportive and comfortable.

Dashboard is all original, and free of cracks which are very common on Mercedes of this era!! Wood as well is in excellent and cracks free condition!

This Mercedes comes with power windows, and they are working as they should!

Automatic Transmission shifts effortlessly through every gear, and it makes this SL absolute joy to drive and cruise in! This German Roadster handles great at the high speeds, and it is very comfortable.

Air Condition works as it should, and this SL is ready for some topless fun!!!! Summer is here, and there is nothing better than driving down the road with the top down, and the wind in your hair!!!
