Description of 1979 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series

Letting go of my 240d
It is a joy to drive, and was my daily driver for several years. Original owner bought in Germany in 1979 and kept records of every trip to the gas station for 20+ years. He gave it to a friend, and it sat for a while before I picked it up in 2012. With some fix ups it was a reliable commuter and a traveling marvel of simplicity and engineering.
With a job change I no longer need the commuter, and haven't had time to tend to it. This week I realized that the brake calipers need some work - and I decided it is time for the next owner to take over.
