Description of 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 300TD TURBODIESEL WAGON W123 |
1984 Mercedes-Benz 300TD Turbodiesel Wagon
Exceptionally rare and highly sought after 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300TD Wagon. This W123 Turbodiesel Wagon combines the bulletproof reliability of the OM617 iron head engine with a powerful turbocharger. Only Mercedes diesels produced in 1981 to 1985 offered this extremely robust combination of reliability and performance.
I have made several long distance trips with this wagon without any problems. The 3.0L Inline 5 cylinder Turbodiesel engine produces excellent power, and shifts are precise and timely. This wagon has just received a fresh oil and filter change, new primary and secondary fuel filters and new glow plugs.
Equipped with very rare factory third row seat with three-point seatbelts. All options on this wagon work including the power windows (aside from one requiring a regulator). The locks are manual due to a common vacuum leak. The climate control functions properly, but the air conditioner will need servicing to blow cold. Hood and hatch open and lock properly, but need to be supported when open. The original black paint has been completely refreshed and together with the chrome accents shine very nicely. This wagon smells clean on the inside and there are no leaks, including the sunroof, which has been sealed off. Although in very good condition overall, this is a vintage car and will naturally show signs of use and age. Please refer to more than 100 pictures that I have of the car below. This very rare Mercedes-Benz W123 Turbodiesel Wagon represents an exceptional investment; because of its general scarcity and desirability, experts agree that these W123 Turbodiesel Wagons are sure to significantly appreciate in value in the coming years.
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BELOW This car is being sold AS IS with no warranty of any kind stated or implied. Please only bid if you intend and are able to purchase this vehicle per the terms stated herein should you win the auction. Please ask any and all questions that you have before placing a bid. Test drives and in-person inspections are welcomed and encouraged, but must completed prior to the end of the auction. As with any pre-owned vehicle, some wear common for a vehicle of this age and mileage will be present. It is realistic to expect that any used vehicle will need some type of cosmetic and mechanical servicing to make the vehicle exactly as the buyer will want. Please remember that you are buying a 30+ year old vintage vehicle. Buyer acknowledges and agrees that the vehicle is being sold with all faults, known and unknown by the seller and accepts the vehicle described herein in its present condition. No refunds, returns, exchanges, or other reimbursement will be made. This is a No Reserve auction meaning that the car will sell to the highest bidder. However, I am open to all reasonable offers prior to the close of the auction so it is suggested not to wait before placing a bid. A $500 nonrefundable deposit is due at the close of the auction through PayPal and must be received no later than 24 hours after the auction's end. The remaining balance is due within three (3) days without exception via PayPal, bank wire, bank check, or cash. I am happy to hold the car for up to three weeks after final payment is received should the winner require additional time to pick-up/ship the car. Thank you for looking! |
