Description of 1969 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series D |
Up for sale are two Mercedes Benz models 220D sold as a package. I was looking for a project and ended up with two. I then lost interest and time. The interiors of both cars are in great shape. Both cars are very complete. Both manual transmissions get all four gears and reverse. VIN of second (blue) car is 11511010303894 The blue 1973 does run and the black 1969 starts and dies. I believe the start and die problem is related to the supply pump on the side of the injection pump. Both cars need clutch master cylinders as the clutch pedals are on the floor. The clutch pedals were both working when I got them. The blue one has sheet metal in the floor that is not welded in and the left front inner fender is all but gone. This is more of a parts car even though it is more likely to be driveable. The black car is soft in a couple places as pictured (the undercarriage pictures are of the black car). The black car also has a broken brake line in the rear. All the tires hold air but are not suitable for driving. Both cars can be pushed rather easily. Actual mileage of both cars is unknown. NEITHER CAR IS ROAD WORTHY AS THEY SIT RIGHT NOW! I encourage you to ask as many questions as you can think of and I will answer as fast and accurately as humanly possible. Inspections are welcome and also highly encouraged. Thanks for looking and have a great day! |
