Up for sale is my 1986 Mercedes Benz 560SL with 78,049 Actual Miles. This car was originally sold new in California and spent the majority of its life in Texas, in a private collection. It will be sold on a clean Texas title. This really is a nice car, inside and out. When I purchased it, it came out of long term storage, and had some really old fuel & it wasn’t running great. I had the injection pump rebuilt and it ran better but is still running on 7/8 cylinders. The top end will need some work to figure out why it’s running on 7 not 8. I have maxed my knowledge / resources on the matter and I’ve decided to sell it as is VS dig deeper. I had a friend pull a valve cover and a valve had slipped off. He re-fastened it and it’s running pretty good now, but I presume it will happen again. It definitely runs good enough to scoot around, but it has a hesitation. I have a video of it running I can email or text if you are interested. The car is in fantastic shape, with what appears to be all the original paint. The interior is in great shape also. It has the optional chrome wheels. It is equipped with all power accessories & the original hardtop + the original soft top. The chrome is in nice shape. The body is very very nice, straight and free of any dents/rust. The undercarriage is dry and very solid. These cars are hard to find with relatively low mileage and original shape. A couple original manuals are included as well as the original full matching spare, jack, and tool kit. The doors open and close very nicely. The power windows work as they should. As I mention, this car will need some mechanical work to run perfectly. I encourage pre inspections. I also welcome overseas buyers. Thank you for looking and good luck!
