Description of 1990 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

This is truly an exceptional car. With only 32. 00 miles. it's completely original and virtually unblemished. The car was purchased out of lease in 1992 with only 7000 miles showing. and has been kept as an occasional weekend/vacation driver here in the States by its executive German owner. Everything works as it should. even the clock! This car is ready to go with nothing required except a lucky new owner. The car comes complete with hardtop. winch for top removal. car cover. and original tool kit. It has always been garage stored when not in use. so shows zero sun damage. This is a solid #2 car. suitable for exhibiting at shows This six cylinder version of the R129 model Mercedes is very nearly as quick as the V8 since it has a 5 speed automatic transmission vs the V8’s 4 speed. It handles better with less engine weight. and is less expensive to operate (22 mpg highway). The cars are incredibly well made and safe. The R129 cars are at the bottom of their depreciation curve and should see significant appreciation in the future. The prior model R9 (350-560SL) cars are climbing in value now as have all prior SL models. The long term cost of owning this car should be near zero when you consider appreciation is likely to offset maintenance costs.
