For sale is a my 1983 300CD Turbo Diesel with 165,888 original miles always tracked by Mercedes Benz. Only 2031 w123 300CD's produced in 1983 and from 1981-1985 8007 produced. Carfax clean and clean title!! This beauty has been Mercedes Benz serviced 63 times since the 90's and has been garage kept. When it needed something it got it. Always serviced. This is a rust free example!! I know the diesel Mercedes well. This one has had it all done. This one runs and drives as good as you can ask for. All vacuum lines are properly run and updated. The turbo functions great!! The exhaust comes out clean for a diesel with heavy acceleration. No overheating, no oil burning. It will cold start with no plug in at minus 4 degrees! The transmission has new b1 and b2 pistons with updated sleeve and new seals. B1 and B2 pistons are known to leak and also cause shift issues. This upgrade required removal of transmission. The transmission modulator valve is updated with the new style one. The transmission was serviced at the same time. This transmission shifts amazing. The exhaust system is solid and sounds nice and quiet. The suspension feels great. It has recent control arms installed. Also new proper shocks all of the way around. The 4 wheel disk brakes are in great shape. They stop the car smooth with no pulsation. The tires all have very nice tread on the factory original wheels that have never been repainted.The climate control panel is new. The air conditioning system has been converted to R134 and is nice and cold. The air comes out where is should. Windows, sunroof, clock, lights, horn, wipers, locks and radio works. The body is all metal and a magnet will stick everywhere. You can wrap your fingers around the wheel well arches and they are perfect. I believe the trunk and tops of the rear quarters have been painted. The hood looks like new and I believe it also has been repainted. I bet from fade common with this color. The paint shines very nice. There are some dings and scrapes shown in the pictures. The front drivers side fender has been bumped and scratched. The rockers are spotless. No evidence of repairs under the car or on the rockers.The 300CD is a pilliarless coupe with all 4 windows down. Open up the huge sunroof and it is wide open like a convertible. The chrome bumpers, grill and strips around the windows are in really nice shape. No cracks on the dash. The original wood is shiny, dark and stunning. The original Becker radio works! The seats are Mercedes Benz Tex original seats, door panels ect. The interior has no smoke, pet or moth-ball smell. The tachometer is a factory new one but the pick up sensor on the front pulley must be dirty or bad so it is not recording the RPMs. Cruise control is not working. The power antenna motor works but the mast is not moving. This Mercedes runs, drives, starts and looks FANTASTIC. I have the Mercedes Benz Master Inquire report that states everything that this Mercedes had done since the 90s. Books are stamped. We know the turbo diesel wagons are expensive and *28000 of those were made. Coupes made 81-85 *8007 so these are sure going to appreciate in value. The best part is how they look, drive and how efficent they are. For 37 years old this Mercedes is all prepared to enjoy for many years to come.
