Description of 1979 Mercedes-Benz 400-Series 450 SEL

This 1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9 was sold new at Mission City Imports in San Antonio, Texas, and is said to have remained with the family of the original owner until 2006. The current owner purchased it in 2016 and relocated it from California to Florida. The car is finished in Astral Silver Metallic over a blue interior and shows 145,549 miles. Approximately 5,000 miles added by the current owner over the past 3 years. Service completed approximately one year ago by Mercedes-Benz of Palm Beach. Work performed in 2018 included the installation of a replacement air-conditioning module. AC is ice cold. Clean Florida title.
The car is in original condition and must be seen and driven to appreciate. The exterior received a full respray at some point and shows very nice. The interior is trimmed in blue with matching carpets and door panels. Factory equipment includes a sliding sunroof, automatic climate control, and a Becker Mexico cassette stereo. Some minor cosmetic imperfections in the interior include; small cracks in the dashboard and wood trim, light stains on the headliner near the sunroof. 14â€ wheels wear Michelin Harmony tires.
