Description of 1993 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series |
I'm re-listing this car with updated description. Many have considered the 300CE Models to be one of the finest luxury convertibles ever built, and this one is still quiet and very responsive. The engine is apowerful 217Hp @ 5500 rpm, 229 ft-lbs. @ 3750 rpm, 3.2 Liter Fuel Injected 24-Valve Dual Overhead Cam (DOHC) Inline 6-Cylinder enginemated to a smooth Four Speed Automatic Transmission. The gas mileage is ~21 mpg in the city, ~24 mpg on the highway. Rust free. • Brake Pads, rotors, tie rods and alignment within 8000 miles
• Body: Good condition, newly painted hood and other panels Last certified for inspection on 03-March-2020 and has current State of Texas registration sticker through Feb 2021. The front seat covers were replaced in 2015 and look new still, and the interior was reconditioned at the same time. In 2019, I had blemished removed from the exterior paint, so it looks like new. That said, it has the following known problems: • Needs new convertible top canvas replacement • Missing two clips for engine wiring harness, don't really need them • Convertible top control module is not working, but the rest worked just fine when it failed • Hasoil pressure, but suspect the wiring between the gauge and sensor is loose somewhere • Driver door speaker cover has a crack in it • The small black cover on the trunk lid is missing - when the top is closed, you can’t see it • The 2 rear seat belt buckles are broken • The flex discs front and rear on the drive shaft are worn • The plastic faring underneath the front has damage • It is missing the driver side and passenger side button trim pieces that tilts the seat forward, button works • Radio volume is low on FM stations • Missing screw-on lid on wiper tank •A few minordoor dings |
