Description of 1987 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

Mint condition w/ only 46. 22 miles. Originally sold by MB Sacramento to 1st owner. I purchased in 2014 from 2nd owner. who had only had it for a year where it sat in his garage in Portland. OR. Since. I have had the car thoroughly gone over by one of the most reputable MB mechanics in Los Angeles. Items replaced: brake pads. rotors. and brake lines. steering damper. spark plugs & cables. battery and misc other minor things. Engine steam cleaned. steering box adjusted. all fluids. drained and replaced. He loves the car and praises it condition. Both tops. Original soft navy top and windows in perfect condition with immaculate plastic windows. All numbers. stamps. stamped plates match and have not been altered. Original deep shiny beautiful diamond metallic blue paint. Leather interior and carpet in excellent condition. There are slight scrapes/scratches on the backs of each seat. where the seat has come into contact with the housings for the seat belts which is common in these cars. Otherwise. the interior is near perfect. The dash is perfect. No cracks. and a deep blue. The wood is in incredible condition. The paint has not been re-sprayed or had any bodywork. There are a few small nicks/dings in the paint and minor scratches (shown). and there is a small ding under the driver's side door handle. I have purposely left the car paint/body as is. rather than have those areas repaired to keep the integrity of the original paint job. Otherwise the car is about as nice an example of a gently used almost 30 year old car as they come. I have the original Becker stereo and original 4" speakers from the dash. However. I upgraded the stereo system to a new Sony bluetooth unit (MEX-GS610BT) with Kenwood external amp and installed Sirius Radio. and added new 4" Focal speakers in the dash and to Focal 6x9's in the rear parcel shelf. The stereo is compatible with USB and also controllable through a smart phone app. I also purchased a new rear parcel shelf in the matching interior color to replace the existing one to allow for returning the car to completely stock appearance. Also included is a car cover and the stand for the hard top. The car presently located in Palm Springs. CA. The car has always been garaged and is on a trickle charger.
