1953 Mercury Monterey 2 dr hardtop

This isaRUST FREEOklahoma car that was in the same family since new until 2013. This car hashad a recentRESTORATION with added upgrades i.e. 12volt system. The 255 L/125HP Flathead V/8 ( the last year for the flathead and the most horsepower made). TheENGINE WASREBUILT4500 miles ago and balance with a mild cam, aving edelbrook heads and duel exhaust. The motor coupled with the manual OVERDRIVE transmission makes this an EXCELLANT HIGHWAY DRIVER and is quite quick for the period.

Mechanically the car RUNS AND DRIVES GREAT. The body is straight with no dents. The front doors have spot light brackets in place but there are no spotlights. Some instrument gages along with the radio and clock do not work and I have not tried to fix them. The added auxilery gages all work.

The 2 DOOR HARDTOP MONTEREY was the top of the line with good looks and a quality build. THIS CAR IS GREAT FORSHOW AND GO.
